Can you KIPPAH secret?
Don't keep this a secret. Tell all your friends about...

Since I have moved to several different cities over the course of my married life, I have had the opportunity to experience the flavor of numerous Conservative Synagogues. When I moved to the West Bloomfield area of Detroit and joined Banai Moshe, I was surprised to have to cover my head while sitting in the Sanctuary. Usually I would only be required to do this if I was going up to the Bimah to take part in the service. So this was something new to me. An usher politely handed me a white, lacy, headcovering and asked me to put it on. I wanted to fit into my new congregation but didn't want to wear that lace topper ever again, so I set out to create something special.

I had plenty of experience in the arts and crafts world and remembering that one of my classmates had used wire for her warp in a weaving class that I had taken back in South Bend, IN. I tried a slightly different approach and came up with an off loom technique that made a consistent, light weight, and lovely product. I personally make each Kippah ordered and need at least 10 days notice.

When I wore my first Kippah to services enough women approached me wanting to order one for themselves that I decided maybe I had something here! That is how KIPPAH SECRET... was started. But please don't keep it a secret!

I'd love to hear from you, thanks for stopping by my site.
